Companionship
Conversation, tea, hobbies, simple activities and friendly company from a familiar face.
Warm, familiar support at home
Warm, reliable support for women who value familiar company, a helping hand around the home and greater reassurance for their family.
Practical help, with a human touch
Longer, unhurried visits built around companionship and useful everyday help — not a rushed task list.
Conversation, tea, hobbies, simple activities and friendly company from a familiar face.
Laundry, washing up, ordinary bed linen, tidying, hoovering and a light kitchen reset.
Everyday help, without the rush
From laundry and tidying to washing up, changing ordinary bed linen and keeping things organised, practical tasks can be completed while there is still time for conversation and company.
The aim is not to turn a visit into a cleaning shift. The human connection remains part of the service.
Who we help
Our service has been designed particularly around the needs, comfort and preferences of women living at home who can manage their own personal care but would benefit from regular company, reassurance and useful everyday help.
A service built from real family experience
Sisterhood is led by a Bradford mother of four who has spent many years supporting older people in both family and care settings. Before getting married, she worked in a care home. Over the years she has supported her own grandparents as they aged and was also closely involved in supporting her husband’s grandmother through the final years of her life, while raising four children.
That experience shaped the Sisterhood approach: patience, respect, familiar faces and practical help that supports independence rather than taking it away.
Your family. Your choice.
Using Sisterhood is a private personal or family choice. We do not announce who uses the service or share personal information with neighbours, friends or the wider community.
Many families simply want their loved one to have more company and practical support during the week, while keeping family time focused on being together.
Information is only shared with people the client has authorised, except where we must act for safety or legal reasons.
