Bank transfer
Our preferred payment method. Each invoice will show the payment details and the reference to use.
Simple, transparent arrangements
We keep payment straightforward. The exact service, schedule, price and any cancellation charges are confirmed with the contracting party or payer before service begins.

A convenient option where a regular amount and frequency are genuinely fixed. If an invoice varies, bank transfer is usually clearer.
Cash can be accepted by prior arrangement. Service payments are recorded and a receipt is provided.
When payment is due
The £45 two-hour Welcome Visit is normally paid before the visit. If cash has been agreed in advance, payment can be made at the visit.
One-off or flexible bookings are normally paid in advance once the date, duration and price have been confirmed.
The £60 two-hour Cooking Companion Visit is normally paid in advance. Ingredients are separate. Any extra agreed time is charged at £12.50 per 30 minutes.
Regular families are normally invoiced monthly in advance once the routine is established. Discounted regular rates start from 3 committed hours per week; regular bookings below 3 hours per week use the standard £27.50 hourly rate. Payment can be made by bank transfer or, where the amount is genuinely fixed, a suitable standing order.
The first invoice can simply cover the visits already agreed for the remainder of the first month. We do not require a family to pay for visits that were never scheduled.
If the agreed weekly schedule changes, the invoice or next payment is adjusted to reflect the confirmed visits. Where a standing order no longer matches the schedule, we may ask the payer to update it or use bank transfer instead.
Shopping & ingredients
There is no hidden percentage added to groceries. Shopping time forms part of the booked service time unless another arrangement has been agreed.
Where cash is used, the amount received, total spent and change returned are recorded. Receipts are kept or photographed against the client record.
Sisterhood does not take or use a client's PIN, online-banking login, or ATM card for withdrawals. We do not provide banking or financial-management services.
A maximum spend is agreed before shopping. If the total is likely to materially exceed it, the worker contacts the authorised payer or family member before proceeding.
Cancellations, pauses & no access
Regular visits reserve diary capacity that cannot always be filled at short notice. We therefore use a clear, proportionate cancellation approach and ask families to give as much notice as possible. Cancellation charges are not penalties; they reflect reserved time that may be difficult to reallocate.
No cancellation charge.
Up to 50% of the booked service charge may apply where the reserved time cannot reasonably be reallocated.

If the companion attends but the visit cannot take place, up to the value of the two-hour minimum booking may be charged. The companion also follows the agreed no-access and welfare procedure where appropriate.
Handled reasonably on a case-by-case basis and any cancellation charge is normally waived where appropriate. The regular service can also be paused while circumstances are reviewed.
No charge. Any payment already made for that visit will be refunded or credited, and we will offer a reschedule or suitable cover where possible.
Please give as much advance notice as possible. We will confirm how the reserved schedule and restart date will be handled.
Regular services operate on a simple monthly rolling basis rather than long fixed-term contracts. The standard notice period to end a regular service is 14 days, without affecting any statutory consumer cancellation rights that apply.
Before regular service starts, we explain the payment and cancellation arrangements in writing. If anything is unclear, please ask us before agreeing the schedule — we would rather answer the question upfront than leave a family uncertain later.
Still unsure?
We would rather explain the payment arrangement clearly at the start than leave a family uncertain later.
